It was with great sadness that I watched the final speech of Michael D Higgins last week during the debate on the Finance Bill. You can watch the speech here and it’s really worth it.
Michael D. is a poet and thus we could surmise that the Dáil is to lose it’s laureate. However yesterday evening a new contender for the Dáil laureate emerged.
Alan Shatter TD (FG Dublin South) found time to commit his thoughts on the current electoral climate to 140 characters with no commas.
I wonder if he does performances?
