Just to point out a few new toys available on the blog.

For those of you who don’t use a feed reader and want to know when there are new posts on the blog you can subscribe and get an email sent to you twice a day with links to the latest posts. The email will only go out when there are new posts to alert you to.

Also when you comment on a particular post you can set up an alert to get emails alerting you to new comments.

Finally if you want to share a post with someone at the end of each post there is a share button where you can save the post, email it to someone, facebook or twitter a link to it.

There is a new liveblog tool which I have yet to try out – this will allow me to have a post which I can update when watching or attending a particular event. Liveblogs which are mass participation are still going to be a problem as my favoured liveblog software is now out of reach financially but am sure we’ll find a way round it.

Again many thanks to Jean O’Brien for her great work on the redesign. The reaction has been fantastic and the traffic to the blog has significantly increased since the new design also.
